Welcome

The Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) is a group of orthopaedic surgeons and medical professionals dedicated to improving the quality of care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement procedures in Michigan.

MARCQI has created a statewide quality improvement infrastructure by developing a consortium of hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) in Michigan to engage in quality improvement activities for hip and knee joint replacement surgery procedures. Improved quality improves patient safety, reduces complications and reduces the cost of this care in the State of Michigan. The consortium improves the quality of care by addressing variations in patient outcomes related to hip and knee joint replacement surgery.

Value Partnerships

Support for MARCQI is provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of the BCBSM Value Partnerships program.

Our Misson

MARCQI is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and Blue Care Network (BCN) Collaborative Quality Initiative (CQI) that improves the quality of care for all hip and knee replacement patients in Michigan. MARCQI promotes the collaboration and sharing of “best practices” through the consortium of hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and surgeons that are providing care to hip and knee replacement patients. By collecting data, analyzing data and reporting data back to the providers, quality improvement initiatives based on registry data are implemented.
